My name is Kim Decker founder and artist of Mckenna Moon Kids, LLC hand-painted sinks, drawer pulls, tiles and bathroom and bedroom accessories. I have spent the last six years in the pottery business owning and operating a successful pottery studio in Ocean City, Maryland for four of those years. I closed the doors to my retail studio to devote more time to my family and to take on the huge challenge of designing and building our family home. During the home building process I wanted to add my own creativity and artistic flair to make it a one-of-a-kind.

I focused on our daughter's bathroom to add that personal touch. I wanted to make it fun and unique and something that they would enjoy throughout their years living at home. The outcome was a hand-painted porcelain sink with a whimsical mermaid. And to tie the whole bathroom together I added hand-painted tiles on the counter top and hand-sculptured ceramic drawer pulls on the vanity.
As a result of this fun project, I started generating so much interest and receiving so many requests for custom sinks, tiles, and drawer pulls that I decided to start my own business doing just that. So, here I am, putting all my creative ideas into clay in a pottery studio that was built on our property by my father. It's great having a job that that I really love!!
